To ensure the high longevity of KOBA gauge blocks, proper care and handling according to KOBA guidelines are required. We are happy to offer these to you.
The Servicing Kit contains the following items:
A detailed description of the handling can be found in the instructions for use, which are supplied in the gauge block maintenance kit.
To protect steel gauge blocks from corrosion, they are treated with anti-corrosion oil (not suitable for gauge blocks in carbide or ceramic)
The deburring stone can be used to remove small burrs on the measuring surfaces and edges of gauge blocks without changing the actual dimension

Gauge block holders with our specially developed quick-adjustment feature allow for the safe and fast clamping of gauge blocks. It has no protruding parts, resulting in smooth contact surfaces all around; furthermore, longitudinal ribs provide particularly high dimensional stability. The clamping mechanism prevents the clamping slide from slipping and makes it impossible for the gauge blocks to fall out.
Handling is remarkably simple: the clamping slide is pushed against the inserted gauge block combination and locked with a single screw, which simultaneously clamps the gauge blocks. Upon request, the measuring range of holders from size 100–300 can be extended down to 0 using holes in the holder and the stop block No. 2150.

Periodic monitoring of manual or computer-controlled coordinate measuring machines is carried out using calibrated mechanical test specimens. Through a suitable selection and combination of four different test specimens and their arrangement, the entire measuring volume can be covered and the inspection can be adapted to the most important measuring task.
